Volthune is the main world in the Into Volthune campaign.
Sometime in the late Third Era, a conflict between the Gods occurred. A group of deities felt a sense of moral superiority over the others. They formed the Barrier, casting all other deities out of the pantheon and isolating Volthune from all other realms. The formation of the Barrier marks the beginning of the Fourth Era.
The remaining pantheons attempted to erase all knowledge and records from before the Fourth Era. Surviving records are limited in quantity and often lacking in depth. They are typically quarantined for their protection.
The events in Into Volthune started in the Fourth Era, in the year of 983.
